One of a few natives in Taney County. My Great Grandparents came to Taney County in the 1890's and opened a store on the old Springfield Harrison Road at Kirbyville. When the railroad line was built in Hollister, Grandpa El (short for Elmer) opened a store in Hollister with the VanZant's. Once the railroad was completed and the virgin timber was cut through the area in the 1920's, the land was considered worthless. My Grandpa El and my Dad along with his brother bought up over four hundred acres on Pine Mountain for taxes that just happens to include the famous Murder Rocks.
Born in 1950, I attended Kirbyville grade school and graduated from Branson High School. Anita and I have been married for over thirty five years, our two sons live in Taney County. We have been blessed many times and especially with our two grandson's. I worked thirty one years for the local phone company and then acquired the necessary schooling and apprenticeship for certification as a Missouri Residential Real Estate Appraiser. I hope to do a professional job for you. Thanks for your consideration.
